MyWikis WikiChat is our new AI chatbot assistant! It helps you answer questions about information in your wiki.

Questions you can ask it vary by wiki. To ensure maximal accuracy, it will only respond to questions based upon the information in the wiki.

Sample questions include:

  • What are the differences between the Foundation and Quantum plans?
  • Give me a map of the park where the festival will be held.
  • List all of the network routers in our Singapore office and their location.
  • What is the freezing point of carbon dioxide?

Where can I try it?

How does it work?

MyWikis unveiled WikiChat at MWCon Spring 2024 in Portland, Oregon on April 17.

WikiChat uses retrieval augmented generation (RAG), a leading AI technique for leveraging LLMs. This brings you many benefits.

  • Updates to the wiki will be almost instantly reflected in WikiChat searches. (This is not possible with other vector database-based approaches.)
  • Only relevant data in your wiki is used to generate the data. This protects your privacy even further than it already would be and makes responses come faster.
  • WikiChat is priced reasonably without sacrificing accuracy or efficacy.

WikiChat does not:

  • Train models using your wiki‘s data
  • Send your data to any AI LLM which will take your wiki’s data and use it for their training purposes
  • Sell/share your data or display your data to anyone who is not authorized to use your wiki

WikiChat employs a siloed approach that only searches among one wiki at a time, and only if the user has permissions to read the wiki’s contents. Your wiki’s content will never be searchable by other wikis or their users.

As of April 2024, WikiChat is currently the only commercially available MediaWiki AI chatbot. MyWikis is proud to lead innovation in the wiki AI sector. Wikis are the best way to organize data to be queried for information retrieval and AI chatbots are the best way to synthesize this data for human usage.

Frequently asked questions

Is our private data sold or shared, and will it be used to train the LLM models?
Your private data will not be used to train LLM models, per the privacy policies of our LLM partners. We will never sell your data. Only the bare minimum amount of information is shared with the LLM partner so they can help to generate the answer for you.
Under no circumstances would we allow someone who is unauthorized to read your wiki to access your wiki's data. Not only is it not allowed, it's impossible by design. We do not mix in private data from other wikis. Your wiki's data is strictly yours.
You claim that our wiki's data is not trained into models. How is that possible?
WikiChat uses retrieval augmented generation. This technique allows us to avoid training models altogether. That also gives two huge advantages:
1. Any updates to your wiki will be nearly instantly available for WikiChat to search for and incorporate into its answers.
2. Avoiding training models means your wiki's data is not shared anywhere else. Select pages are used solely for answering the question when it is asked; the data is then destroyed after the answer is generated.
Why is the answer blank?
This usually indicates our partner LLM service is overloaded. In this case, wait 10 seconds and try refreshing the page. If this keeps happening after 10 minutes, there could be a bug. If so, please send us the question you asked, the wiki you asked it on, and any other info you may find relevant to https://www.mywikis.com/contact.
